Day One!

What is technology? Is it a spider web? Dog food? Or just things having that are electronic? These are questions we discussed today.

We also met the "duo" two workers in Haiti who will give us our daily challenges via mp3 message.

We finished the day with a challenge--can we build a tower that will hold our beany baby pig, called Bacon, at least 6 to 10 inches from the base of the table. Most students were VERY successful.

Comments I heard today during the build: "We didn't fully plan it out." "We need to restart because this isn't working." "We need to test, and retest." "Maybe we should test along the way."
